Aran is the Numenor title for King, or Noble. Ara, or Ar, is the stem of the word. Aragorn, Arathorn, Ar-Isildur, etc...
Gorn has been translated from elvish as either Tree or impetuous. The most widely accepted translation of Aragorn through the Tolkein fan network is King Tree. Think of the white tree in gondor.
And I could be wrong...but I thought that Elfstone (elessar) was a name picked up by aragorn signifying his beautifully forbidden relationship with arwen. Think of the symbol she gives him to carry with him.
