Sites about Tolkien's world of Arda, one of the most detailed, natural and self-consistent fantasy worlds to date. The first is about the languages there, which shape and reflect a lot of the world; the second is like the Encylopedia here. It's a good example of what to do in a fantasy world, as far as how to construct it goes. But don't follow the examples of content too much... basically all fantasy cliches derive from that work nowadays. Try to think of anything that's NOT in Arda, and do that :-)
