: Excuse me while I qoute the Myth II Glossary under
: Soulless: "One of Soulblighter's most successful
: experiments with reanimation."
That is true. It certainly is too bad that there isn't any more evidence to indicate the genesis of the soulless, though. Although, the title 'Soulblighter' probably does have something to do with it...
It would explain why Balor's armies were partially composed of Soulless, as well.
Perhaps Soulblighter is a necessary factor in the creation of Soulless, and without him, they can't exist. Interesting.
: No it's patently fact,
: "This evening at our camp just outside the keep I
: was awakened by a low rumbling. We watched in helpless
: silence as a massive army of Thrall, ten abreast and a
: hundred deep, marched out of the main gate heading
: south."
: Myth II journal, into the breach, it's accomanied with a
: picture of the army marching out of te gate, also in
: game if you rush to the the bailey you can see the
: rear end of this force.
I do remember that, now.
10x100 is 1000, though so it really isn't all that many, and a detachment of about 20 or so return from the main group to harrass you in the courtyard toward the end.
Strange that there was no evidence of a regiment of thrall inside the keep or even in the courtyard, though they could've been stored in the secret passages, released, and then dusted up after while on their way to Tandem.
: There is no evidence to say that he was the only one
: either.
With no evidence to suggest that someone else was raising thrall, the idea is somewhat precluded.
