Okay, this comment is ridiculous, so I will overlook it.

: Also, Thrall are slow moving. Even with continuing day
: and night until you got there, it would take awhile.

Thrall are a good deal faster than you think:

Remember the tortoise and the hare? Slow and steady wins the race and all that?

Thrall move (and you can see this in the game), slightly slower than dwarfs. Dwarfs must sleep, eat, and excrete waste, so they can effectively move only 8 hours a day at most (if they want to be any sort of effective in battle on arrival), and the light does not have regular troop transport vehicles.

Thrall can and do move with every other fallen army (as a major contingent in many cases), proving that they can and do move when necessary, swiftly when you consider that they need not rest.

By your reasoning, any army dependent on Dwarfs would be up to half as fast as any army of Thrall (given that the dwarfs must rest and sleep), because an army is only as fast as their slowest necessary unit. This is seen in Iraq, too- the M1 Abrams tanks being slowed down by the Bradleys and the resupply convoys.

Since the Thrall are the slowest unit of any dark army, their speed defines the speed of the army, but since they don't need to rest, and can move all night, it makes the armies of the dark up to three times as fast as any army with dwarfs in it.

I can prove this with math- it won't be hard.

Thrall in those massive numbers could easily have made it to Rhi'anon ON FOOT, behind the legion and Alric, world knot or no. Since they didn't, the ones seen in M2 were most likely made between M2 and TFL. (also the fact that the dead either rot or desiccate. it's the dream of unlife, not of constant freshness.)
