: The first steps are applicable to Myth II only.

: Fear:

: Open the sounds collection
: Double click on each sound you want to extract and press
: return.

CHECK!

: Head Edit: Open the newly created tag in local ->
: sounds
: File -> Save as
: Select Myth 1 from the drop down menu
: OK

CHECK!

: ResEdit

: Open the newly converted tag
: Get info for the tag
: Change the Type to "SOUN"
: Change the Creator to "Myth"
: Close the info window
: Save

CHECK!

: For TFL Sounds, start here:

: The Fallen Sounds: (Select the sound file you want)
: Select the variation you wish to extract
: Sound -> Export variation...
: Save
: Repeat for each variation you wish to extract

CRAP!

Every time I try to export one of the narration sounds, it gives me an error:

"Couldn't read from the file: Error=-39"
Then when I try to play the file it creates, it's just a big bunch of static garbage.

Also, when in The Fallen Sounds, if I try to play the sound within the little sound information/edit window thingy, it plays just fine until the end, where there is always a bunch of static garbage again.

I wouldn't mind the static stuff if I could at least get at the actual sound, I can always edit the static out later... but unfortunately I'm not so lucky.

However, when I do the exact same things with any of the other sounds it works just fine. So I'm pretty sure I'm not doing anything wrong, but if I am don't hesitate to kick my in the rear. There's just something about the narration it doesn't seem to like...

: SoundApp: File -> Convert (Cmd-K)
: Select extracted variation
: Select your desired format form the drop down menu
: (usually AIFF)
: Convert

CHECK! (at least for any sounds other than the narration)

So far I've only tried Myth 2 narration... I'm going to dig out my TFL cd and try to see if I have better luck with those.

Any other help you or anyone can give me on getting the Myth 2 (and possibly even TFL) narration sounds would be great.
