: Why a shade? Don't ask me, I'm not MJ. Mb they just
: didn't want to make an entirely new thing, and the
: idea of a "ghost" doesn't really seem to fit
: in with the whole Myth thing. Mb they overlooked the
: possibility that anything that was dead could be up
: and about without being un dead. Mb they're just
: stupid. Who knows?
: Doom
: Post Scriptum: Necromancy is talking to dead spirits, not
: raising dead bodies. Don't get sucked into the whole
: Diablo 2 idea, because it's a fictional video game. It
: is not supposed to be a good source of mythological
: evidence.

Also shade is meant to be somthing sinister, evil, Mazzarin never was evil. And all these Lyches in his crypt, in manual said they're servants of Bahl'al. So I think Mazzarin was corrupted by Bahl'al long ago before Connacht entered his crypt.
Knight o' Death.
P.S. Blizzard (the company that made diablo) never invented that necromancy is an ability to animate corpses (in fact they can be trusted in that matter, nearly all they ideas have some other source than they imagination (the same thing can be said 'bout Bungie)), the whole idea existed long ago before Blizzard ever existed. I actually had read in some folklore/mythology encyclopedia that necromaners have POWER OVER THE DEAD, and the thing means that they're not only speak to the spirits, but also capable of animating dead (it was written so, I just cannot find the book for exact quote).
