: Not too surprising, considering that the word
: "Necromancer" actually means someone who
: speaks with the dead, rather than someone who summons
: the undead.
Which is something Saruon and his necromancers do - the Witch King summons the spirits into the Barrow downs to take ove rthe dead bodies, the phantasms of the MArshes may or may not be actual spirits, the Nazgul themselves are dead, Sauron talks to the spirits of the dead and convinces the evil ones to stay as phantoms/ghosts, etc...
