You really don't seem to understand. I am moderate in my political views. The same kind of ideas of what a moderate is that originated on your continent are those that I imply in my usage of the word. I'm not attempting to prove my political standing to you, because I have no need to. I don't really care what you personally think of me. I also am not trying to make, defend, or attack any political viewpoints. I'm just writing my opinions in general, and I feel no compulsion to explain those opinions to you. If you wish to look at political issues from one point of view, without considering the other, that is your call. And no. I am not trying to imply that doing that is what makes a moderate, for indeed, I know plenty of rightists and leftists who do so, and plenty of moderates who do not. I am merely pointing out what I have seen from you thus far.
I do not intend to explain my views in detail, for it's already obvious that you'd disagree with me, perhaps even for the mere sake of disagreeing. But I don't really care either way. My point is this: I am who I am, and you are who you are. I'm not going to try to change your political views, and no matter what you do, you're not going to change mine. You cannot change that simple fact. However, I would like to point out, that what I meant by writing that I detested politics, was exactly that. I detest politics. There is no kind of sense in them, I don't really care. I also don't care if you do care. My point is that I do not. I am not interested in politics, American, European, or otherwise. If you think less of me for that, well, there's not much I can do about that, except for not care. If you wish to think less of me for lacking interest in politics, that's your decision; if you do, though, I'll probably think less of you, for doing thus.
I do not visit this forum, however, with the purport of arguing with your political views. If you wish to do so, find a political forum, please, and do as much as you like. Or, if the site administraters let you, you can even do it here for as long as you post here; just don't expect me to respond any longer. I do not care about politics.
Oh, and I did not, in any wise, intend to imply that I was "the last freethinker" in America; what I intended, rather, was to say that, being constantly surrounded by what I consider political stupidity, I simply cannot see myself living here for the rest of my life. There are plenty of people, many of whom are friends of mine, who are not so pig-headed, as to obsess themselves with politics, and expect everyone around them to as well. Unfortunately, the media, and a good many other sources, are. I cannot really take that for my entire life, and so I'm planning on living elsewhere. Political correctness, national division, and so many more factors have contributed to my decision, just to let you know.
