: light and darkness and that he's neutral. So how could
: he protect the Watcher when you going to shatter his
: statue.

Now you understand why some of us will never trust Myth 3 for story information. That is a good question, though, and no doubt people will find obscure plot references and random tidbits of info to try to justify what is most likely an oversight. I often wonder if Bungie fans try way too hard.
