The Leveller is an effect of the Old Gods. The Comet is a portal to the realm they were banished to - the One Dream used to appear in such a form as well until it was shattered. The Cycle is basically the Old Gods trying to screw over Wyrd's world (and Nyx's creations, in the old Trow cycle) every chance they get. I haven't yet established how the A/B spirits and the whole cycle pattern fits into this yet.
(This is, of course, all my own writing based off of my theories of the Myth world. Which is why, whoever [Zeph I think] asked, the Callieach are avatara of the Old Gods - because I said so. This is fanfic, not actual Myth theory. Maybe I'll write up an actual fanfic based off it after the RPG is done).
So does anybody have any ideas how to save the world? Thoughts that have occurred to me - the Dwarves have already invented TL4, with rifles, they just don't use them. They might bring them out for humans to use in this case though. Also, there's the Warlocks and their quest for the Ultimate Truth - what is it, and what would happen if one of them discovered it? I've also thought about Yer'ks - whatever happened there? - as well as possible ventures outside the known Myth world, to the Far East or even the Faraway, whatever may be in either of those places. Ideas? I don't want my players to be unconditionally doomed.
