They'd be rarer, simply because in a quasi-medieval society like Myth, men are more likely to get into positions of high military importance than women. But that's not to say it would be unknown. Look at Boudicca. Look at Penthesilea. Heck, look at Ravanna and Syrkrosh (okay, the latter might not count, seeing as she's a spider. Moving on). For the Leveller, if you believe that it possesses the most powerful being of its age, it would be only common sense to possess a woman if she happens to be the most powerful. And fpr those of you who believe Mjarin /was/ the Leveller, it would then seem that the Leveller isn't averse to possessing powers-behind-the-throne, like Cleopatra. As for the transmigration of spirits theory, if you go by the Buddhist theory of Reincarnation, it isn't even necessary that the reincarnated form be of the same specie to the previous one, never mind the same sex. Admittedly, it's probably safest to move well away from Buddhist theories before the question of Karma comes up, since a cockroach Leveller would hardly be the most threatening thing in the world. (Unless, of course, it was a really BIG cockroach...)
