Never ehar dof that before, but JRRT decided towards the end of his life that if he ever completed the Silmarillion (which he didn't :'( :'( :'( , and this was not known until afterwards) he would spell Orc as Ork, since he had already called the tounge Orkish instead of Orcish to stop people pronouncing it as "Orshish".
