: the second definition is interesting, but anyway, working
: together is somewhat different than just fighting
: alongside each other. it means that they may have
: actually been directing some battles as generals,
: making thrall, acting as srategists, and communicating
: with the head, as well as just blowing things up.
First: The Head probably wasn't working with the Fallen, at least not completely... and if he was, I seriously doubt that any but the Fallen and Balor had any kind of communication with him, considering that he was obviously one of the powerful people of the world of Myth. Second: It's unlikely that they would act as generals, seeing as how that's what the Fallen were; we can't forget that, just because their power is in the same class as Balor, he was definitely their superior. They're even defined as "six sorceror-generals" in the manual. And it's unlikely that the Fallen would have used somewhat dubious allies as any kind of major officers: Soulblighter probably had no need for any officers; the Watcher's were Shades, and he certainly wouldn't trust any allies of the Deceiver; Shiver appears to be a little too... tactically stupid to implement officers; The Deceiver is the only one we know who would really fit the bill, and considering he went to lengths similar to those of the Warlocks to obtain his power, that explains why the Warlocks would probably side with him over any of the other Fallen. Finally: The Warlocks have no dreams, and NONE of the Fallen are going to teach/give them any, ESPECIALLY not the Dream of Unlife, which was required to make thrall. Think about it: you're, say, Soulblighter. Your boss has just forced a guy who already hated him to rejoin your ranks, and he brings allies about who you know next to nothing. Are you going to trust these people with your most potent weapon? I don't think so.

The Deceiver was, if you'll recall, "bent" to the will of Balor. He was exiled by Balor and his officers when they were still part of the Light, and then they forced him to rejoin. He's not going to like any of the other Fallen, or Balor, enough to "lend" them his allies.
And if you'll remember "A Murder of Crows," The Deceiver seemed rather as if he was acting on a grudge towards Soulblighter; and he certainly wasn't getting along with Shiver as former allies might normally when he fights her.
