We don't know when the Watcher got the Dream of Unlife. The Trow were destroyed at the beginning of the Wind Age, and Mazzarin died in the Wind Age after his army was killed by Thrall, so Bahl'al found it sometime during the Wind Age.
It goes like this, with time between events unknown:
Wind Age begins (1000 years ago).
Trow empire sacked.
Bahl'al searches Trow cities for Dream of Unlife.
Watcher(Bahl'al) kills Mazzarin.
Watcher(Bahl'al) imprisoned by Connacht.
Wolf Age begins (500 years ago).
Balor frees Watcher.
Great War, blah blah blah.
Mazzarin The Shade and The Watcher are killed.

Mazzarin could have died near the end of the Wind Age, and we don't know how long he lived before then. So he was however many years old and at least 500 years dead.
