: It says Mazzarin died in the Wind Age, though you have a
: point that it's odd that he's the most powerfull
: avatara of the Four Ages (which four ages, I still
: wonder?) when Connacht was around in the same age that
: he died in. Maybe you no longer count as an avatara
: when you move up to Great Hero status?
Where does it say he died in the wind age? If he died back then our whole time line is off by centuries. He was killed by the Watcher in a battle after 7 waves of thrall had attacked his (Mazzarins) army. But the Watcher did not come to possess the dream of Unlife until after the Trow empire was destroyed in the early years of the Wolf Age. Also I have always thought Mazzarin was the leader of the nine. This was not supported by Bungie as far as I know but was a base of some of the earlier CoD leavles that where planed before they slowed it down.
Even if powerful mages can live for centuries(and this does not appear to be the case as old as Alric is in Myth 2) 1000 years is a long time to survive in the public eye.
Just my thoughts on the matter.
