: someone mentioned a while back that the trow may have
: used calliach magic to sink yer'ks. well i was
: wondering if trow would be smart enough to actually
: harness some of the more potent dreams that were being
: used,ie the one that may or may not have sunken
: yer-ks, and the one that sunk si'annwon.
The Callieach weren't a race created by Wyrd, right?, thus, they wouldn't have used dreams, (as the avatara dreams we all know and love are the 49 pieces of Wyrd's one dream). So the Trow wouldn't have needed to use dreams (even if they could, which is unlikely since they are children of Nyx) if they were using Callieach magic; it could have just been non-dream magic (there are such things that exist, I believe). Second of all, Trow are probably pretty darn intelligent. Each Trow alive today has pretty much been KIK'ing since the beginning of their race, which is a pretty darn OLD race. They are also obviously a culture similar to that of Rome's where learning was encouraged (don't confuse Rome with Sparta, please).
: ps. what exactly is a "dream" is it like an
: artifact that can be used to cast a spell, or is it a
: spell written and memorized and if so, how were they
: "found" by the calliach?
I don't believe I remember reading anything about the Callieach being connected to Dreams in any way...
: and also,if they are artifacts, than are they passed on
: from father to son.
Very unlikely; Of course, on top of that, you have the very unlikely chance of them being artifacts, so it's REALLY unlikely.
: and finally,if the dreams are what made the world and
: there are 49(?) dreams, then are there any known
: dreams for actual creation, and not only destruction.
Not all dreams are for destruction: the only one that we know about for sure, I think, is the standard Dispersal Dream (badguysgoboom!) The dream of Unlife is obviously for raising the undead, and the Binding dream just changes your enemies alliances...
