Gonen could be the person who built the bridge, It could be the name of a hero, it might be the name of the valley it goes over, whose to say its a full blown city.
More likely Cruniac was in a bit of a rush and "Make haste for Gonen's Bridge" wasn't quite as snappy as "make hast for Gonen."
Also "stuff Gonen like a turkey" and the accompaniny image was dwarves stuffing th bridge like a turkey.
