Ah, I recall that in the Unimplemeted features section there was a suggestion of a link between Skreal and Yer-Ks. Note it says 'of' Yer-Ks not 'the' Yer-ks, suggesting that thats not the name of the race that lived there, but the name of the kingdom.
Thinking about it the idea of a sunken kingdom sounds cheesy. Sinking a city is one thing, but an entire nation!
I agree that the Skrael live in the Deep mire however I liked the idea that two Skreal nations were created when some prefered to live on land and others preferred sea. Also it makes sense that the land Skreal escape to the sea nation every time a war is brewing and avoid it, eg Myth I, II etc.
