It says Mazzarin died in the Wind Age, though you have a point that it's odd that he's the most powerfull avatara of the Four Ages (which four ages, I still wonder?) when Connacht was around in the same age that he died in. Maybe you no longer count as an avatara when you move up to Great Hero status?
