Hmm, I could have sworn that healing just has no effect, and doesnt make their health go up OR down... oh well... I could be wrong...

As for the shade they are very powerful magicians, and I'm sure a few vapors wouldn't kill them like it does a thrall... the water part could be explained by the fact that they levitate, and perhaps they couldnt do so on a liquid surface.

And if Myrmidons are undead, why can't they go underwater? They can't, ergo they breathe, ergo they are alive.
