In Response To: Fallen Lords, Avatara, Lieutenants... (Pimpyō)
: Well, better get all these groupings sorted out in a
: hurry before the thread below on Balor breaks the
: forum.
: Alright, we know a lot about names and positions of past
: characters. There is only so much we can determine
: about them though, without images, pictures, or a
: descripion of some kind.
: To start, the Fallen Lords debate is going to carry on
: forever. Regardless of how it ends there are a few
: things that we do know about them based upon their
: names... Soulblighter and the Deceiver are obvious.
: The remaining four: The Voiceless One, Bahl'al,
: Bonesplitter & The Faceless Man, all need
: inferences to determine. At the very least we nailed
: The Watcher as Bahl'al, so that just leaves three.
: Going back to the time of Connacht, he had with him many
: trusted lieutenants. Of which Damas (Soulblighter)
: gained much acclaim. The Tales from Myth TFL comic has
: a second lieutenant pictured behind Connacht to his
: right (our left). Now since at this point in the
: story, Connacht is still good , this individual may
: not be a Fallen Lord. But we do know that he was
: indeed a high ranking official to Connacht. That is
: all that can be drawn from his lieutenants at this
: point.
: As for the Avatara, we know that Mazzarin was defeated by
: Bahl'al after he uncovered the Dream of Unlife. Based
: purely on name entomologies, Bahl'al follows the Trow
: city format, but we know that the Watcher was hardly a
: Trow. So perhaps it was an ancient toungue and Bahl'al
: was a very ancient Avatara/Fallen Lord and therefore
: one of the three ancient evils .
: Also from this, the rivalry between The Watcher and The
: Deceiver dates back to before they were both held
: under Balor's army. So we know that the Watcher
: (Bahl'al) has been evil for quite a long time now,
: where as Myrdred (The Deceiver) was converted.
: Now Shiver has some interesting tidits about her. In the
: Tales from Myth TFL comic, it has very little text.
: But in that text the name of Moagim appears. Tireces
: was the last person to wear the mantle of the
: Leveller, and in so doing became Moagim. So if this
: has any relevance at all, Shiver would be
: approximately a milenia in age, making her the second
: of the three ancient evils .
: Now here is where it gets tricky... if Myrdred (The
: Deceiver) and Damas (Soulblighter) were recently
: converted since the Wind Age, about the time Connacht
: became Balor, then it would follow that Bonesplitter
: (clearly a Myrmidon name) would also have been
: converted more recently. That nails down all three of
: the newer evils, leaving The Faceless Man as the last
: of the ancient evils . Since The Head was from the
: time of Connacht, he would not be a Fallen Lord, nor
: would the man pictured behind Connacht in the comic.
: (So perhaps The Head was the cloaked figure in the
: comic.)
: I understand how SiliconDream believes that Shiver is in
: fact a Myrmidon, and this may very well be true, since
: they both share vanity as their demise. But it could
: also be that Shiver converted to the Dark a milenia
: before the rest of the Myrmidons during the reign of
: Moagim, as opposed to Balor.
: So in closing here is the breakdown of who belongs where:
: - Connacht became Balor and started the Dark uprising.
: - Damas became Soulblighter when Balor appeared.
: - Myrdred was converted by Balor.
: - The Myrmidons were enlisted by Balor, making
: Bonesplitter a recent addition.
: - The Watcher is Bahl'al and an ancient evil.
: - Shiver would have to be The Voiceless One and another
: ancient evil.
: - The Faceless Man, is the last of the ancient evils, who
: we know nothing about.
: Let me know how this makes sense to you all, and please
: keep the discussion very logical. I hate people who
: say things without any evidence to back them up with.
: Sincerely,
: Pimpyō
