...but a game stands on its own merits as a work of art. It doesn't become popular because of the efforts of a few crazed fans. Myth 1 and 2 were popular because they were good. Myth 3 isn't as popular because it wasn't as good. Use whatever reason you want, but that's the simple truth.

Potential, btw, is not the same as realized greatness.
