hmm I think that there will not be any new people joining the myth 1 and myth 2 ranks (or at least not as many as there are leaving it) and it is correct that they are slowly dying, but the last few people will hold on for... years...look at marathon
however I do think that if the last few people want to continue playing myth we should support myth 3 because although the storyline and actual game isn't so good... the engine is. The engine has enourmous potential just as much as the myth 2 engine did. Although it would be a lot of work (and thus far a lot of work HAS been put into it... by a relativly few number of people however...) myth could be almost totally revived by the new playmyth online version, and glitches in the game being patched out. (and with a little advertising...)
the game could be reborn... hundereds maybe even thousands of gamers playing myth making mods, new Better single player,, some even joining our ranks here at the asylum
and all with a nice new graphics supported by the myth engine we know and love... because while graphics may not be important to old gamers who have played the game for a while... they ARE what attract NEW gamers, so who knows what could happen in a year if more people got started on it...
but then again it is a lot of work and im not asking anyone too.. the people doing the real work know that IM not really doing too much ;p
and btw who said they didn't like the multiplayer... i downloaded the 'classic map pack' and i love it... more fun than those maps in normal i beleive...
the trow saying "MB I KIK J00" made it worth it too...
if i recall wasn't that phrase started by an asylum member
