In Response To: Fallen Lords, Avatara, Lieutenants... (Pimpyō)
: To start, the Fallen Lords debate is going to carry on
: forever. Regardless of how it ends there are a few
: things that we do know about them based upon their
: names... Soulblighter and the Deceiver are obvious.
: The remaining four: The Voiceless One, Bahl'al,
: Bonesplitter & The Faceless Man, all need
: inferences to determine. At the very least we nailed
: The Watcher as Bahl'al, so that just leaves three.
I remember the discussion about Phelot decimating Avon's Grove and The Deciever being around that area most likely being Bahl'al, etc. etc. That all sounds pretty good, but now I can't see why he couldn't be The Voiceless One.
Which one of the Fallen Lords were ancient evils and all that? A list without any conclusions woult be appreciated.
Has anyone saved that old homepage by any chance...?
: Also from this, the rivalry between The Watcher and The
: Deceiver dates back to before they were both held
: under Balor's army. So we know that the Watcher
: (Bahl'al) has been evil for quite a long time now,
: where as Myrdred (The Deceiver) was converted.
The rivalry of certain Fallen Lords go back more than a millenia according to the first journal writer. That can't be the rivarly between The Watcher and The Deceiver, since The Deceiver is surely not more than a few hundred years old. The only sign of rivalry before the bruhaha about that damned arm was after the battle of Tyr. Couldn't they have gotten pissed of at each other within the last 20-30 years or so?
*snip*
: - Damas became Soulblighter when Balor appeared.
*snip*
Damas seems to have more and more twisted each time he went to the Untamed Lands. It doesn't seem though he did all the rituals to achieve immortality just because Balor told him to do so. Soulblighter seems to have a will of his own in a lot of matters and plenty of it, too. If we argue that Damas was evil, then we might as well say that Connacht was evil, and that's just silly. Maybe he simply went the same path as Connacht. Obviously The Leveler isn't the only one that is bent on distruction. The Deceiver was in two major wars against the Light that we know of. Couldn't he have chosen to do so quite a bit on his own?
