if they are anything like the ents in lotr then i think that they are probably the oldest living things that evolved as the dream was just being concieved in the eyes of wyrd

countless, many are probably stored in the sunken trow city only retrevable by the undead unless you threw back the sea or something else spectacular. the ones tht are not known must be descovered but i don't think that there can be a set number because not all of them were found

i agree that the cycle should end and with the dream restored alll of humanity as well and all history because spiders, trow, and myrkridia weren't supposed to exist is the human world.

they probably use a potion made with mandrakes to restore thair youth as well as health

they are from the realms of forest heart(ask someone more qualified than me) i think and they were the origional human inhabitants of forest heart.
