i was thinking that maybe though probly not likely that maybe the journal writer was a forest giant. its a stretch to say that a forest giant would leave the forest to see murithemne but they would certainly live long enough that they could have easily remembered if they had gone and it would also explain why the narrator never states the fact that he is injured.

this speculation could be disproven easily and might be just bs but give me you input
