: Well, it seeems that in Bungie's eyes it is.

Bah, I guess it is the "official" expansion pack, but I remember reading a discussion about it not being canon. I'll have to play it first. I can't seem to get a working download anywhere. Anyone know where I can?

: I must step in and say that had M2 been developed by MJ,
: BUT with EXACTLY the same plot as M2 by Bungie, you
: owuld be saying the same thing - TFL easilly had the
: most mystery about it.

That's quite a ridiculous argument since yes, I agree, I would be saying similar things because I have no idea what Bungie's vision of Myth was, so naturally anyone else who is acting on their judgment alone cannot hope to produce an identical story. If in your implausible hypothetical situation this did happen, I would have no way of knowing whether it was EXACTLY the same plot.

Now, I just know you're going to say: "So how do you know that MJ's plot isn't what Bungie envisaged?" which I would answer by saying: "I don't but I'm going by the probability I have at my disposal". I'm finding it difficult to fathom this argument because of its inherrent nonsense.

Anyway, I wouldn't be complaining as much since the Myth 2 plot isn't blatantly trying to produce answers to everything left unsaid in TFL. Now however biased to Bungie that sounds, it's because Bungie's Myth team were better at their jobs than Mumbo Jumbo's and had less pressure from blah blah blah...

: MJ couldn't realistically spawn a new world of mysteries,
: it would just have gotten silly, ahving to resort to
: "Mazzarin, please tell us of the beginings of the
: world na dthe mysteries of the Leveller and the Cycle
: in a chunky prose-like cutscene!"

That's pretty much what Mazzarin does to Connacht anyway, we just don't hear it. The fact that they couldn't create a better backstory of their own lends nothing to the credibility of Myth 3, it only adds to the many reasons why it shouldn't have been hyped as a Bungie beater.

: Tru7h now belongs to Micrcrap, as does the number 7 and
: the letter m. :(

I thought Children's Television Workshop owned all the letters and numbers. Microsoft will have to make do with punctuation marks...
