Really, I don't understand your abhorrance of M3. Granted, you can say "In M3 it says x y and z, but imo...", but don't say "Everything is M3 = liez." After all, Chimera's canon, and Bungie didn't do that.
It doesn't contradict anything, and of course it was going to destroy some theories, if it didn't answer historical questions it would have been pointless. There's till plenty left to debate and some new mysteries (as you may have notriced by some of my psots), so why can't you accept it, even if only as an "Alternate Tru7h".
