Well, the warrior flavor text makes a mention of him "...Ancient and honored..." etc..but that still isn't likely to get him through to mid-late ninties at the youngest.

I doubt it, because if he was an Avatara wouldn't we have seen him at some point? At least through the Journal Writer's eyes...
But that's just my opinion.
