: that the head regent would run around all over his
: kingdom in peacetime. There were no wars going on and
: Alric certainly needs not show his face often among
: the people spread about the lands. It's not like he
: needs to be re-elected or such.
: Also note that the cutscene before "Gate of
: Storms" shows Alric leaving a throne room. It
: would seem strange that Alric did not live in Madrigal
: if that is where his seat of power seemed to be.

You are right. after the great war Alric lived in Madrigal. But before that he lved in Covenant. and i think it is very strange that he moves to Madrigal. In gate of stormes, you see how small the city is.Covenant is bigger and better
