: I think they may have originaly intended Maueldun to be
: warrior but when they thought, he retook Bagrada from
: the Watcher, he must be good.
I must admit I was a bit saddened when I saw the Maeldun pic in MII as well, but hey, life goes on :)
: Actually Alric has a much bigger hat, Mr. Middle has a
: flatter cap.
Yes, that's Murgen (maybe his similar appearance can be explained by: he is from the same place as Alric/trained in the same manner/had the same teacher?).
: I think the three Avatara represent the three schools of
: Archmage.
: Warrior Mage, to the left, Powerful Mages, yet prefer
: their sword, may use it as channel for magic.
: Examples:Rabican, Connacht, Moagim, Soulbighter, Probably
: Ravanna.
: Dualist: (Middle) opposite to Warrior mage, Prefers the
: Use of Magic but can wield their sword with skill.
: EG:Alric, Murgen, The Watcher.
: Purist:(Left) Utilises Magic alone. often uses Staff to
: focus power.
: EG:Myrdred/Deciever, Shiver, maueldun.
I love your classification. Just one thing I noted: Alric channels magic using Balmung. I think Alric fits inside multiple schools of magics, and maybe because he's so skilled in all of them, we shouldn't try to classify him strictly?
: Shades, I dunno, they seem to prefer to use their sword,
: but may prefer magic, we just haven't seen enough variety of them.
I wonder if there is any variety in Shades at all. They're intelligent creatures, able to think and converse, but may not be human for all we know. I like to think of them as tools rather than beings.
