She could be a tragic figure kind've like that crazy old woman in Great Expectations. Miss Havisham I think her name was.

She's still vain, at least in a self delusional kind've way. Of course, she creates her own little beautiful daughter to punish man-kind. Perhaps the Myrkridia were Shiver's equivalent?
