Everything in this is a radical departure from commonly held Myth history, but we welcome all theories ;)

There were six Fallen Lords + Balor. Counted among the six was Bonesplitter. Therefore Balor is not Bonesplitter.

This seems like it could be right. That could be the Faceless Man, and Damas looks bitchin' without the ripped off face.

Actually there really isnt all that much seeing as we know NOTHING about the Faceless Man.
The Head CLAIMED to be an Avatara under Connacht, and Alric did not believe him. I'll take Alric's word over The Head's any day, seeing how the Head was a deceiving self-serving scumbag and Alric is the ¸ber-good-guy

: picture, Connacht's right-hand man. That hood sort of
: looks like Alric's too, which also supports that he's
: an avatara. Perhaps there is a falling out between
: them when Connacht becomes Balor, or perhaps it's all
: according to plan, but the Faceless Man has his head
: cut off and gets stuck in Muirthemne to be
: 'discovered' by the good guys. Maybe it wasn't cut
: off, maybe the head and body can function
: independantly, maybe the body happens not to be
: 'wearing' the head in the picture of Connacht and
: friends. That isn't necessarily an evil power, it
: could have been the unique (if rather bizarre) power
: of that avatara. However, the body was later
: destroyed: perhaps when Balor turned the avatara to
: the side of evil, he resisted at first and had his
: body destroyed. Balor finally gets control of what's
: left, the head, and turns it to the dark. He either
: leaves it in the desert or the Head agress of its own
: free will to be put there and the rest is history...
Nope, that wont work. The Faceless man is a Fallen Lord, he can't be both a Fallen Lord and The Head at the same time unless The Head is a Fallen Lord, which it certainly is not.
