Ah, forgot about the Lesotho Dam thing. I guess going evil and lusting for power would push any past feelings aside. Hell, maybe she didn't cook him his dinner.

I guess plenty could've happened to sour their relationship in the years between their love and the Great War. Maybe it could be covered someday....
