I must've missed it, I always remembered their name not being mentioned and wondering what their original race was.

Also both of my dictionaries left out the Achilles' definition, so I was not privvy to knowing that:P

It would make sense that the name would be reference to Achilles instead of henchmen, although both fit the undead version of them, while only the Achilles definition could really fit the living(seeing as it would be sort of ridiculous to label themselves henchmen:) ).
