Well, no wonder I didn;t remember, Stinger, I played SB even before I played TFl. :)

: teleported out without a knot and at the start of The
: Great Devoid, we come in without one.
And in Out of the Barrier. My guess is that Alric has a teleportaion spell, a less powerful Worldknot basically (less range, maybe less people can go with him), but maybe not as limited, and that between The Last Battle and The Great Devoid they used some other method of transport - or they may have gone staight there, in which case ALric is some kind of uber-mage, eblis stone or no.
