Speaking from past experience with Archer, I can agree that he can be annoying, especially when he gets arrogant about his knowledge of a certain subject, or when he decides that his opinion is the right one.
Thing is, we're all like that, and you'll just have to learn to deal with it. Archer and I had many an argument back in the day, and I've since learnt how to cope with his comments, and how to best comment against him to get the desired reaction.
I haven't read the thread in question, but as I said, I've had some experience with him, and I can relate to how irritating he can sometimes be.
That said, Archer IS knowledable on a lot of stuff (mostly Myth and myth related), and it pays to at least listen to his ideas.
