Right, but complaining for the sake of complaining rarely has any edificial effect. Try offering solutions with your complaints and a reasonable argument, and you'd start fewer flame wars. :)

I could argue that the U.S. *was* divinely appointed to a position of power. Start another thread if you want to hear that. But I heartily diagree with the idea that the U.S. *wants* to rule the world.

I'm not sure what type of history classes you've taken, but the ones I've been in generally showed a reluctance on the part of the U.S. to commit its soldiers to war. The solders we *do* have in the field are generally there on peace-keeping missions (whether they actually do that or not... I'm not informed).

Military force, whether you like it or not, is still a real part of the world as we know it. Wait until the wars over water get going, then you'll really have something to complain about. :/

Dream on. I realize you're young (not that I'm an old codger or anything), but you do realize that all humans are corrupt (or corruptable)? In an ideal situation, there is *no* need for government at all. Governments grow out of a need for meeting mutual safety concerns. Anarchy, in all truth, is the "ideal" governing situation, one in which men don't have to compete for food, shelter, and clothing. They also have no need to defend themselves from other men in order to preserve their lives/possessions.

Simply put, in the ideal world, there is no government, because there is no need to govern.
