: That's a stereotypical view of the Islamic Faith, its on
: par with saying that every single Catholic wants every
: single Protestant dead and visa versa from looking at
: N. Ireland.
: A mere 120! yea right. And targeted specifically or not
: they end up just as dead.
: I'm not saying that it is right, I'm just saying that we
: have no right to change them. If they must change then
: they must do so by themselves and not be some American
: soldier who thinks that he's killing for what is right
: when all he's actually doing is making sure his
: country gets cheaper oil.
Incorrect. Either "rights" are God given, and thereby immutable and unchangeable (an absolute right and wrong), or rights are created and imagined by man, and thus changeable from day to day. You can't have it both ways. I hapen to believe in the former, and would die to see my rights and those of my fellow countrymen protected from those who would kill simply to make a point.
As for the "cheaper oil" crap, grow a brain. When countries prosper economically, more of their citizens are employed and fed. Then they're also able to help other countries and people. On the other hand, if a country is sent into economic tourmoil (witness Argentina), thousands and millions more citizens that would otherwise be able to find jobs can't. The U.S. is THE most generous country in the world when it comes to charity. Yes it benefits americans in the short and long term. But by that logic *any* act of charity can be said to be out of selfish reasons. So look at it how you want. But in the end a stable U.S. economy means a better world economy.
Alternately we could just stop piping oil to Japan. Hell, the U.S. could just pull out of the entire world economy and let it go belly up, and screw all those people in the US that depend on foreign money and investment. We could go back to an isolationist country that wants no part of world affairs. Then everything will just be peachy, right?
Unfortuantely that's not the case. The U.S. is part of a global society and economy now. Be damn glad that we're pretty decent when it comes to throwing our weight around. Because it could have just as easily been Japen and Germany that were discussing the invasion of Iraq. As if that would have taken months to debate. Heh?
: Are you saying that the murder of thousands of people is
: right!!!!!!! Thousands died in horrible ways, their
: skin peeling from their flesh, the blood leaking from
: their veins, cancer is still common in Hiroshima and
: Nagasaki because of Truman's quikc fire way to
: victory. Its ironic that the country that feels a need
: to rid other nations of nuclear weapons is the only
: one to ever use them in the field of combat.
Murder is wrong, always. But as pointed out, when it's an "us or them" situation, you have to make a choice. If you in your "nuetral" country were invaded by a tyrant like Saddam, I'm sure you might just bend over and let him do what he wants. On the other hand, you might not. But if he has nuclear weapons you won't have the choice, because be damn sure he'd use them first and talk later.
: They were inoccent civilians, just as inoccent as those
: that died in 9/11 and more died than then, and you say
: what they did was wrong and what America was right.
Who were the innocent civilians? Do you mean the afghanies caught in crossfire, or the terrorists? Because there's a difference between the two.
: 1:i'm not american, I've made this clear several times,
: i'm a citizen of a neutral country. A country that
: does not see the need to invade other nations and
: oppress their beliefs as they were oppressed for 700
: years, as they were attempted to be wiped out as the
: Incas and Aztecs were in plantations as they were
: viewed as lesser beings, as they were without liberty
: or a right to rule themselves, as they fought to gain
: freedom from a nation who believed they were doing the
: right thing oppressing this "barbaric" race.
: So you see as everything may seem just and righteous
: to you old friend it is nothing but greed and vengance
: that are in the eyes of Mr. Bush as he orders the
: murder of people whose only crime is being born in the
: wrong country.

So is your country one that depends on the might of friendly nations who are willing to see to its defense and support, perhaps? A country with citizens such as you who would label my country greedy and vengeful? And call my president a murderer? If the above were truly the case I'd write my congressmen now and tell them to bomb the hell out of you with those nukes we use all the time, because you've really just pissed me off. Crawl back into your hole and pray that none of what you believe is true, because there's 1 chance in 300 million that I might be president someday. And your country, dear friend, would probably dislike being severed from all relations with the US that you so desperately love to hate.
Of course, there's always the chance your just plain wrong.
