Back on the subject of Alric, at least for me.
Soulblighter accuses Alric of sacrificing his own men to increase his own glory. Now, this may or may not be true, but Alric is certainly not afraid to risk his own life, as he proves very throughly at times, less so in others.
The Gate of Storms in which he stays back with a mere handful of men to make sure no one is left behind.
The last few levels, Alric leads the from the front, "...Balmung flashing in his hand..." as he tears apart the Myrkridia like they were ghols.
That reminds me. If someone will help me out...or something I'd like to do a scenario in which Alric is leading the legion against Shiver.
Which brings up the fact I haven't gotten around to my Other Fictionish Gate of Storms Alric bio part.
I'll have to work on that when I get some time on my hands.
But just out of corsity, would it be a reasonable assumption that the Royal Guard of the Province's King would have names like the warriors? Also, should I have Mauriac's death happen? Anything else I should do or should not do? (Note: I'm not going to blindly follow the opinions here, but I would like to hear them)
