The only thing we truely know about the Ibis Crown is that it has "truely staggering power." and that Ceiscoran made twelve ordinary copies of it at "fantastic expense".
It is a strong possibility but not out right staten fact that it is the royal crown of the Cath Bruig.
The problem with determining its powers is that we don't know if Alric actually is wearing it as (Emperor)...someone care to prove me wrong here?
Alric already is pretty powerful in my opinion, so it would be hard to tell how much of what he does after getting the crown is the Crown's doing, and how much is his own strength.
Speaking of Alric, is there any reason he wears red in TFL, and in game at least, a rather faded red?
Same in myth II, but at least there, red is a Royal color and he is a king, later the Emperor, so it's not as surprising.
