Mjarin's plan was to kill off the EMperor of the Cath Bruigm, as well as Connacht, Damas, etc. by making them fight Moagim. He would then, as Imperila Advisor, sieze the throne, and use the Cath Bruig to destroy the other human nations and the Dwarves, claiming that they were in league with Moagim and that he is avenging the Emperor, basically turning the Cath Bruig into Dark minions. When it's been weakened by these crusades, he'll crush it with Moagim.
So, in short, it would be ideal that of all people he's the one controlling ALric, and he would indeed use the Ibis Crown, but not to help the armies of the cath Bruig. :)
