Well during his 60 years its believed he went from low level mage to high power arch-mage.
I really like this theory and makes allot of sense, though the I like the idea that there tortured ghosts
or Stygian knights without armour (hey thats actually a cool idea too) But anyway, or it could be a mix of all three.
