The Myth world has been going in this cycle for how many eras? We (Forrest and myself) think its seven (right, Forrest? Hope I'm not putting words in your mouth.)

In THIS world, in seven thousand years we went from living in huts and fighting with stones, spears, and sticks to fighting with nuclear weapons. The reason this didnt happen in the Myth world?

Because every thousand years, the leveler comes in and destroys civilization. Look who's left after Myth:TFL - the ratty, small villages of the north, the fairly uncivilized zerks, the non-techy fir'Bolg and Forest Giants. The most sophisticated race, the Dwarves, are overrun first. The grand cities of the Province are no more. The great libraries were burned. Muirthemne, cornerstone of civilization, is a desert. All technology higher than blacksmithing is swallowed up by the army of the Dark and time.

The Piecemaker and Rifleman flavors will explain it all: "It is rumored that deep below the Werfacktorie in Myrgard, in the deepest catacombs and tunnels, lies a chamber containing the inventions of each era, all lost during the Dark Ages... Nothing but a rumor, of course"

"Stories abound of the fantastic devices of ages past, but each era they are lost to the destruction wrought by the army of the Dark."

Or something... I just made those up off the top of my head just now, dont worry, the real ones wont suck =)

I disagree. You dislike the Skrael because they were never fully implemented. We have made some skrael that you would rather have fighting for you than a zerk. They are the most versatile units you can get in Myth. While their attacks do not do that much damage, they attack FAST with a devastating slingstone attack that allows them to take on a group of archers twice their size and win... with experience, they become stabbing machines with their melee attack, taking down thrall like nothing... They are like bre'Unor, but without Crappy Statsô. They are fast, have a reasonable amount of health (more than a ghol less than a warrior), can go underwater, and beta testers have been amazed at how smooth their animation looks, even compared to other Myth2 units. The response from those who have used CoD's skrael has been unanimously positive. You'll get your chance to use them soon =)

You'll love using Skrael against Soulless... its really sorta unfair =)

You'll love even more taking on a group of 12 Leixians who have all been reduced into the red by Dark attacks with 3 skrael, taking down half of them with slingstones, and downing the rest quickly by ganging up and bringing them down one at a time as they come. God I love that level..... good work, Merlin, on the scripting!
