I'm not sure the Light had this all at the same time but good point.

The Dark kill the Emperor and destroy
: Muirthemne, the Heron Guard become Journeyman so many
: people would be depressed of the Emperor's death. The
: Forest Giants stop helping after some time. The Ghols
: attack the Dwarven lands. The Trow joined Balor. Balor
: frees The Watcher form the Cloudspine. The Kithless
: (Myrmidons) join Balor in return for immortality.
: Balor summons the Fetch from another world. Balor
: commands 6 genernals called the Fallen Lords. The Dark
: have the ability to make undead. So at this point many
: people have lost a lot of hope. The Light seems to
: have been taken off by surprise in the beginning. As
: the war goes on some of the Nine get killed. We get
: advice from The Head. We get the Total Codex. We get
: The Watcher's arm. We get 2 magic bows. With the
: Head's advice we stop The Deceiver from getting the
: Watcher's arm (to use to kill The Watcher), stop the
: Watcher from getting the Codex, destroy a World Knot
: that The Dark begin to use which would have cause more
: problems The Deceiver would have out flanked Rabican
: and Maeldun and their forces, defeated Shiver (which
: gave more hope), and tricked Alric into going to the
: Barrier for a magic suit of armor. Alric is captured
: and is questioned by Balor; Alric gets the idea to
: kill Balor to win the war.

: The Head helped a lot more than damaged us. Imagine not
: getting The Watcher's arm and not kill him. And The
: Watcher getting the Total Codex. The Deceiver out
: flanking you from behind through a world knot. Alric
: not getting the idea to kill Balor. Shiver not being
: defeated by Rabican. Without The Head the Light might
: have lost.

Of course, that's assuming that the Nine couldn't have figured this stuff out on their own, they aren't totally stupid remember.

Soulblighter uses the Tain on us, and we
: escape and destoyed it. While heading towards Balor
: Shive is gone, The Watcher gets killed, The Deceiver
: gets traped in the Stair of Grief. We cut Balor's head
: and go to the Great Devoid and Soulblighter is there
: waiting for us. We throw the head in the Devoid,
: Soulblighter escapes, and we die. Of course not all of
: the Legion died just most of them. Alric is the only
: one left from the Nine.In Myth 2 we are surprised by
: the return of the Dark... Soulblighter is back and
: brought Shiver with him. He looks for The Summoner and
: makes him summon the long dead race of the Myrkridia.
: The fir'Bolg and the Forest Giants don't help us on
: this war. We get The Deceiver to join us which brought
: the Warlocks and the Trow with us too. Soulblighter
: has the Fetch and the Mauls to join him. Soulblighter
: uses a shard of the Tain. Alric gets the idea of
: reclaiming Muirthemne. We get the Codex to find The
: Summoner before Soulblighter gets it. Alric gets the
: Ibis Crown and Balmung and becomes the Emperor; the
: Journeymen become the Heron Guard once again. The
: Dwarves now have the Mortar technology so we get
: Dwarven Mortars. The Deceiver kills The Summoner and
: stops the resurrection of the Myrkridia. The Deceiver
: stops one of Soulblighter's raven from flight, so
: Soulblighter cannot fly away anymore. The Deceiver and
: Shiver kill each other and we don't see the Warlocks
: or the Trow with us anymore. Soulblighter flees to
: Tharsis and we follow... we find out that Soulblighter
: planned to shatter the cloudspine. Alric stops him and
: drops him into the lava.

That must have hurt.

: In Myth TFL the Great War has been going on for 17
: years... the Dark had so many advantages, but the
: Light had some too. So some of the Light's advantages
: cancel out some of the Dark advantages. : ) Towards
: the end most of the free cities have been lost... and
: at the end both sides lose a great deal of everything.
: Most of the advantages are lost on the both sides at
: the end. In Myth 2 it takes 1 or 2 years for most of
: the cities to be lost. The Dark have way less than in
: TFL but have new advantages like the Myrkridia and
: have less poerful enemies (only Alric remained from
: the Nine). So in Myth 2 it is like the left-overs of
: Myth TFL come back to try it again and bring new
: advantages into the war. The Myrkridia can also be
: called left-overs since only a fraction of their race
: was resurected. So both sides are more or less
: balanced out just like in TFL. The Deceiver was a
: great deal of help in Myth 2. The Head was a great
: deal on help in TFL. Even though both had their own
: plans. Think of TFL as the Dark 10 and the Light 8; in
: Myth 2 the Dark 5 and the Light 4. In TFL both sides
: had more of many things. In Myth 2 both have
: left-overs and get new things for both sides. There
: was never one side getting everything and the other
: nothing for both Myth TFL and Myth 2. Think of this:
: " Fate alone kept him from getting a sixty year
: head start on us. Had The Summoner been born during
: that earlier age, final victory would have belonged to
: the Fallen Lords."

If the Myrkridia had been unleashed upon the world 60 years ago there would be nothing left of humanity by the present.

In a lot of ways though, the Light is totally screwed by TFL and yet in myth 2, even as the Myrkridia race across the Province like fire over a dry field (acording to the Journal Writer, who may have put things slightly differently hence the absence of quote marks)we know we are going to win.
I think most if not all of would agree that Alric's plan to win TFL "...is a mad one." until it works by contrast to the fight against Soulblighter.
