In Response To: Dark Lore (Seraph)

: "...as he approached the book, every instinct within
: him cried out at the detection of the foul, tangibable
: taint of Darkness within it...but he ignored the
: warnings, consumed utterly by a lust for the knowledge
: within..."

I thought for a second that that was supposed to be a quote from the books... hehe. Then, I ceased being blind to reason and... what was the other one? Ah, yeah. Logic.

;-)

: I just got the first two books of the Black Company
: today.

Excellent! Stay with them! All those obscure references in the first pages of TBC ("Paper tower", "rubbish gate") aren't very significant, so don't worry about memorizing them. I thought I had to, and was kind of overwhelmed with all those bizarre locations. But the company doesn't stay there very long at all. Events in the North are the good parts... once I read up to there, I couldn't put it down.
