: It's possible that the guy on the right of the first
: unimplemented pregame pic is an early concept of
: Maeldun. Or, it's just a warrior who was present in
: Maeldun's southern garrison. Since it is possible to
: go to a general's garrison but that general himself is
: actually in another garrison or somewhere else, we can
: only hope that that man on the right was meant to be
: Maeldun. And it wasn't explicitly said he was present
: in that southern garrison at the time.

Okay, so maybe that guy isn't and was never supposed to be Maeldun. That still doesn't mean that the guy on the right of the Gate of Storms picture is him. Just bear with me here...

: I remind everyone that this unimplemented pregame pic is,
: like... "vetoed" by the pic we see of him
: in-game in Myth II.

And I remind everyone that that Gate of Storms picture is already inaccurate even if we say that the guy on the right is Maeldun. The center guy must be Alric. His sword, robe and features look almost exactly the same as in the cutscenes and games, and that glowing thing in his hands might well be an Eblis stone. That said, the guy on the right looks much more like the callous, irritable scholar that Murgen seems to be than the avenging knight known as Maeldun.
