It's possible that the guy on the right of the first unimplemented pregame pic is an early concept of Maeldun. Or, it's just a warrior who was present in Maeldun's southern garrison. Since it is possible to go to a general's garrison but that general himself is actually in another garrison or somewhere else, we can only hope that that man on the right was meant to be Maeldun. And it wasn't explicitly said he was present in that southern garrison at the time.
I remind everyone that this unimplemented pregame pic is, like... "vetoed" by the pic we see of him in-game in Myth II.
