Mazzarin and Sinis

I am now sure of the facts behind the famous exchange between Sinis and Alric. There was indeed only one Mazzarin, and he was killed in the Wind Age by The Watcher. He tried to kill Sinis by collapsing one of the last remaining Trow shrines on him (remember, Sinis was a shade of The Deceiver, Mazzarin's master's bitter enemy). He was then wounded by the Legion and finally re-killed by the group sent to kill The Watcher.
Hmm...on second thought, this might be rather obvious to everyone else. Anyway, please tell me if there's anything to disprove this.
