I dont think that the grass and the ball ever actually touched. There was always a thin coushion of air between the two.

But it doesn't matter, since there really is no grass, nore tennis ball.

The tennis ball is merely the outer layer of a tiny micro universe, containing billions of planets and millions of stars. The boucny coating is to protect the delicate mini environments within from the harsh conditions of its Mother Universe. It also helps create darkness inside, just as we are actually within a gigantic tennis ball ourselves, and there is no light only because the outer wall of the ball prevents this.

And the grass? What is grass? A blade of organic matter. Connected to roots, which are embedded within soil, which compromises our entire planet. Our planet consists of soil, organisms, and water, as well as an atmosphere held in by gravity, which the ball was within. So it is not hitting anything, merely moving from one surface of the earth to another.
